What makes our PALS Renewal program ideal for your professional needs.  You will be able to practice and train in dynamic role-playing situations that mirror real life and will help you in your role as a healthcare provider. You will be introduced to a wide range of life-threatening, all-hands-on-deck scenarios that involve a variety of systems of care.  The goal is to strengthen your ability to communicate and work effectively as a critical member of a team.
Heart & Stroke’s PALS program, based on the 2025 Guidelines, provides hands-on learning that builds on your Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, teaches you when and how to use the latest treatment recommendations for your patients, and takes your skills as an advanced healthcare provider to the next level.
Please note: At this level, the Heart and Stroke requires a minimum of 3 participants to run this seminar.  If the course minimum is not met, the course will be cancelled and a refund sent to the participants

Description

Are you a healthcare provider who is confident in your PALS skills and uses them regularly, and who requires limited practice to renew your credentials? 

Our PALS Provider Renewal course tests and strengthens your high-level skills and  knowledge involving core PALS concepts in simulated cardiopulmonary arrest or cardiovascular emergencies to help you in your practice.
In this concentrated course, your proficiency will be evaluated in high-quality CPR, high-performance team dynamics and communication, and the systematic approach to pediatric assessment that includes the evaluate-identify-intervene sequence for respiratory emergencies, shock and cardiopulmonary arrest.
This course is the traditional classroom-based teaching led by Dr. Sabrina Curi or one of our medical professional instructors.
What you’re expected to know before taking this course.  For you to achieve the best possible learning outcomes from our PALS Provider Renewal course, you’ll need to possess clinical skills, knowledge and ability in:
High-quality BLS
Recognition of common pediatric cardiac ECG rhythms
Effective airway management and use of adjuncts
Knowledge of pediatric cardiopulmonary pharmacology
Practical management of complex cases
High-performance team skills
